No its For starters its about being a descendant of the Spaniards where my roots are deeply embedded
Or for the cold rain at night which el dios cries his tears which need to be sheded.
Each moment that passes that brings me back to the beautiful scenery of my town San Juan,
Knowing that I am a Boriqua I know that I already won.
Or is it the beauty of the beaches and the reggaton
My life journey has yet to even began.
I am Boriqua and this I refuse you to misconstrue
I can tell you so much but it is only in you.
A puerto rican acknowledges the african shadow of his taino soul and recognizes the oppression, devastationand damn near elimination.

A real boricua sees the ills and faults of his own people and understands that we all share the same community.

We teach our children not to represent ignorance and be tolerant of the mental ploys that have kept our tribe down for so long.
I never once felt as if I didn’t belong.

A real boricua keeps it real by recognizing the strength, loyalty and determination.
A boriqua gives much respect to their nation.

Being boricua is not about being down it`s about elevating yourself to what our people were before we were attacked, raped and before we were robbed of our native tongue, and our culture. Don’t fall down to those nasty and naive vultures.I'm all of the above,I worship Dios and pray to the (Virgen),(Todos) they put us down because we are brown,Y no nos dejan en pas,They say we should stay in the fields,Like all we do is piscar vegetables,but I say stand tall and mighty as if we are on a steeple.
Though we originate from Puerto Rico,Todavia somos Americans,No one can take our pride and soul away,
